Balloon Fiesta
~ October 6
One of the most photographed spectacles in the world, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, draws tourists from all over the world to New Mexico every October. The river meanders below, and the Sandia Mountains tower over the valley, providing the ideal backdrop for hot air balloons to fill the sky. We are the only outfitter that offers this experience from the saddle while these gorgeous globes float overhead. We frequently witness them splashing and dash in the river! Every day will be designed to provide the best balloon viewing and moderate terrain for you to snap as many photos as you can. We will spend one morning at the fiesta among these colorful giants as they take flight. The afternoon will be spent amongst the wide variety of vendors selling local foods, arts, and crafts. Don't miss a unique way to experience this amazing event!
Fall Colors
~ October 20
Book your retreat in the fall and explore the colors of the autumn leaves as they change. The mountains are gilded with golden aspens, and the river banks are quilted with red and yellow cotton wood. This time of year in New Mexico is a photographer's dream.
