Experince the living traditions of the cowboy at the Estancia Ranch Rodeo.
The East Mountain Rodeo Association is a 503 (c) 3 nonprofit organization founded in 2020. The purpose of this association will be the preservation and education of western heritage, principals, and ranching practices that were used to help settle the New Mexico Territory. The proceeds from EMRA events will be used to support organizations and groups that support and reinforce these purposes.
About the Estancia Valley Ranch Rodeo
The EMRA was founded in 2020. After returning from Afghanistan, Chris Morgan and James Whelchel joined forces to put together an event to bring business back into the Estancia Valley of Central New Mexico after a summer ruined by COVID-19. Once they recruited Andy Demarcus, William Babers, and Derek Tucker, they established the newest Working Ranch Cowboy Association sanctioned Ranch Rodeo. Deciding to forgo the metro area of Albuquerque, they decided to keep the rodeo in the Estancia Valley where they call home.
